Color Combos

Now that I've posted some layouts how about some color combo idea?  The second hardest thing for me when creating a card is what colors should I use.  I find that I make cards that are the same color combinations over and over and over.  Do you feel the same way?  Well if so, try a color challenge.  It may take you out of your comfort zone...LET IT!!!  It will take you to a new level of stamping.

I stamped....

Last night I decided to take one of the templates and make a card to show how easy it is to come up with something.  The only alteration I made was to turn the orientation from a portrait to a landscape.  I hope you are inspired to use the templates.  Don't forget to email me your cards made from the templates I posted yesterday to be entered into the drawing for the blog candy.

Card Layout ideas

For me, Card layouts are the hardest part of coming up with a card.  Something that helps me are card layout templates.  Once you pick a template the rest is easy.  Pick a stamp set and a color combo and poof you have a card.  Here are a few layouts for you.  I would love for you to email me a picture of any cards you make with these layouts.  I will put together a blog candy package and for everyone who emails me a photo of their card your name will be entered into a drawing to win the blog candy.  All cards emailed will be posted on my blog.  Deadline to enter is February 28th.

Scallop Corners

A fellow SU demonstrator Patty Bennett had a photo tutorial posted on her website showing how to make scalloped corners with our scallop edge punches.  I decided I'd share this with my blog followers.  Give it a try and see how easy it is to do.

February Club Projects

As promised, here are the cards from February's stamp club. We had so much fun and WOW there were a lot of ladies stamp stamp stamping. I think the highlight of our morning was Kelly "Cheetos" zumba demonstration. Boy can that girl zumba. I hope you all enjoyed stamping the projects. If you are not in my stamp club and would like to be call or email mail me and you can come check it out as a guest to see if it's something you'd like to do each month.I'm working on March's projects which will include something for Easter and maybe even a 3D project courtesy of Kelly "Cheeto". I'm not a big 3Der, but she's really good at that kind of stuff. Remember, we are in the Sale-A-Bration promotion period and for every $50 in Stampin' Up! products you purchase you get something FREE from the Sale-A-Bration catalog.
