Changes at Chesapeake Energy

It's been a very busy week for m at work this week.  On Wednesday I officially moved out of the basement of Building 5 where I'd been for a little over two years to the first floor of Building 8.

For those of you who are not familiar with Chesapeake Energy in Oklahoma City, we are the number one independent producer of natural gas in the nation and the most active driller of new wells in the U.S.  I work on a "campus"'s like a college campus.  We have restaurants, fitness center, health care center, and in the future we will have onsight daycare.  For the second year in a row we were on Forbes top 100 companies to work for.

Ok...back to my move.  Well, I've only known basement life for the last two years.  I went down into the basement in the morning climbed out at lunch time then descended back down after
lunch and again climb out at the end of the day.  I am now officing on the 1st floor with a window.  It's really a nice and positive change for me.  I was really worried I wouldn't
like moving, but it's not all that bad.  The only downside is that my entire department wasn't able to move.  I really really miss Rachel, Audrey and the "Basement Boys".

Here's what my new office look like on the inside.
